Dear Representative:

According to the 1967 Carnegie mandate PBS was to teach and to encourage to think. Instead, on 4/17/96 PBS showed ten million American vievers a historically inccurate documentary film SHTETL, whose objective was incitement of interethnic hate. From about: ten millions Polish-Americans, all who saw this movie, considered it as crude propaganda and stimulation of anti-Polonism. Deluge of protest folowed. In 1993, PBS released another Holocaust „documentary” - „The Liberators”, which was ignominously pulled off the screens for historical innacuracy. SHTETL is now scheduled to be shown at schools as educational material. However, this highly controversial movie must be recalled from schools for its prevarications and bigotry.

In this election year, please let me know:

1) If tax supported organization are allowed not to respond to massive protests of the tax paying constituency”
2) which subcommittee appropriates funds for PBS:
3) how we can improve the peer reviev of programming at the PBS now prone to patent failres:
4) how we cen compel PBS to reclassify SHTETL as fiction in order to stop PBS from peding this false history and interethnic hate among schoolchildren in America.

Sincerly,

________
