Anonymous Berlin Redux is both sequel and update of an original short feature experimental DVD based production created in 2004. The thematic content of the original dealt with the impressions of the artist during his initial trip to the city of Berlin taken that same year. Its innovative design combined a mix of photo snapshots, journal narratives and 3D animated sequences that as a composite described each of the most memorable Berlin neighborhoods that he had encountered. |

The current outgrowth piece is phrased as a full CG 3D animated sketch of some of the most significant the themes that were embodied in the original using contemporary Hollywood based visual effects techniques. The goal of this approach is to take the previous production's level of CG narative to the next step but in keeping with the current era of visually condensed media messages. |

The sheer level of production value involved in what is initially planned as a two and a half minute spot will encompass a cast of highly detailed CG elements and sophisticated matte painting tableaus. Though cast in a form of photo-realism much in vogue in current cinema, the piece will attempt to engage classic looks that were significant of Berlin's Weimar period. |

Anonymous Berlin Redux is scheduled to be release at the conclusion of the artist's thesis sometime in late 2008 or early 2009. It is envisioned to be distributed initially within a variety of international short film and animation based festival venues. |
