6/2/00 Seton Reunion Held at The Farm
The 40th Reunion of the Seton class of 1960 was held Friday, June 2nd, at The Farm in Delhi (Cincinnati), Ohio. Pat drove down and visited in the afternoon with her childhood neighbors, the Nolls. Then it was off to visit at The Bailey, a retirement center, where Mr. and Mrs. Schaefer, parents of Pat's friend Mary Lee, now reside. Mary Ann Morbitzer runs the beauty salon there, so we got to chat with her at the same stop. A call to Mary Lee indicated she was not going to be at the reunion, so another stop was made at her house. Then it was off to see Eileen Schneble, who was Pat's hostess for the weekend.

The Reunion was great. Some faces were hard to recognize at first glance, but all the changes disappeared within a few seconds of conversation. It was as if time itself faded as the faces, voices, and gestures became instantly recognizable and familiar once more. It was fun to see a group of such happy and apparently well-adjusted women who seemed content with their lives and legacies.

There were 98 attending the reunion, about half the class. Of the 232 original members, eleven are now dead.

On Saturday, we took a short walk to see Eileen's new townhouse where she will be moving next month. Pat had lunch with high school chum, Nanci Ferguson Doran, who was in from Texas. In the afternoon, Pat visited with Mary Weber and Carol Weber Kerly and drove along Greenwell Road (where she grew up) for the first time in many, many years. In great contrast to the Seton classmates, Greenwell is showing its age!

On Sunday we attended church and had breakfast out before Pat headed back home.

Thanks for the Hospitality, Eileen!
